Email Client Quick Setup

To setup your email client be certain you use the following conventions:

  • For incoming mail, use IMAP if at all possible. Configure the inbound server as mail.yourdomain.com.  We suggest that you use SSL on port 993 if your client supports it.
  • For outbound mail, use the same server: mail.yourdomain.com.  Be certain to enable password authentication for the SMTP server.  We also suggest you use SSL here, as well.
  • Your ISP may block outbound access on port 25, so we recommend you configure your email client to use port 26.
