Do I need to open ports in my firewall to access the server?

No, the server does specifically require access to your computer except for normal tcip/ip traffic.  If your personal firewall alerts you that you are connecting to an "insecure site" or another similar message when contacting our server then please open a helpdesk ticket so that we may assist you.
